Scarsdale, Westchester County
Scarsdale Personal Injury Lawyer
A low-density village where the serious collisions happen on the parkway rather than the residential streets.
Free Case ReviewThe parkway, not the neighborhood
Scarsdale’s residential streets are quiet, wide and slow. Almost all of the serious injury collisions here happen on the two roads that pass through rather than the ones people live on: the Bronx River Parkway and Central Park Avenue.
The parkway through this stretch is wooded, curved and shaded, which matters in winter — the freeze-thaw cycle leaves black ice on shaded curves long after open roads have cleared. Single-vehicle strikes on the stone parapets and guide rails are a recurring pattern.
Central Park Avenue is a different road entirely
Retail frontage, continuous curb cuts, constant turning movements and heavy volume. The collisions here are left-turn and rear-end impacts rather than the parkway’s run-off-road pattern.
Bicycles and the parkway
The Bronx River Parkway reservation carries substantial recreational cycling and pedestrian use alongside the roadway, and the interaction points at crossings and access roads produce injuries. See our bicycle accident page.

We do not have an office here
Our offices are in White Plains, Nyack, Nanuet and Brooklyn. We serve this community from those offices and will meet you at home or in hospital if traveling is difficult.
If a municipal vehicle, county bus, school district or public sidewalk was involved, a notice of claim is generally required within 90 days under General Municipal Law §50-e — not the ordinary three years. Establishing which entity is responsible is the first task.
